FleetFlicks accepts submissions of short films of any genre or theme, so long as they tell a story.  We are not strict in our taste by any means, and we try to be as diverse and eclectic as possible.  The best way to get an understanding of our taste is to watch the short films we’ve screened on the site.  We are open to almost anything, however, so surprise us with your best!

Here’s a few things to know before you submit:  we need your name and e-mail address, as well as complete cast and crew credits.  Cast and crew credits are required in order to maintain industry standard and promote the community that FleetFlicks was created for.  We also need a short, 2-3 sentence bio about yourself.

Important: If you do not include a full list of credits and a bio with your submission, your film will not be watched by our editorial staff.

Please also include any additional information you’d like the public to see, such as notes on the production of the film (we really do love production photographs), technical gear specs, or any awards or honors the film has received.  Also leave contact information if you’d like the possibility of being reached by people who are moved by your art.

We make every effort to respond to all submissions in a timely fashion.  Usually, it takes 1 week for us to get back to you.  If your film is longer than 10 minutes, it will take us a bit longer (about 2 weeks).

Submit only one film at a time.  Once you’ve heard back from us, feel free to submit again.

Please note: we do not accept music videos, home videos, advertisements, public service announcements, or demo reels.

We acquire one time rights to screen your film on FleetFlicks and keep it archived on our server.  However, filmmakers retain all rights of their work and may request the film to be removed at any time.  We are merely in the postion to distribute films online for the sake of the artist.

Currently we’re requiring ALL submissions to be uploaded to Vimeo because it allows us to download the video for future local hosting of videos for improved streaming.
